Jakarta, October 12, 2024 - Nuon Digital Indonesia ("Nuon") participated in the Indonesia Game Developer Exchange (IGDX) 2024 to support the growth of the local gaming ecosystem. The event took place from October 10-12, 2024, at The Stones Hotel in Bali and was attended by gaming enthusiasts, gaming associations, and industry players from both domestic and international backgrounds.
During the event, Nuon took part in a developer conference session with the topic Building a Sustainable Game Ecosystem, featuring CEO of Nuon Aris Sudewo, CDIO of Telkom Indonesia Fajrin Rasyid, and CEO of Digital Happiness Rachmad Imron. The speakers shared insights into the crucial pillars of building a sustainable gaming ecosystem in Indonesia. The panel discussion highlighted the importance of synergy between robust infrastructure, high-quality talent, and continuous innovation to accelerate the growth of the local gaming industry on an international scale.
Aris Sudewo, CEO of Nuon, emphasized the importance of collaboration in developing the gaming industry. "We see IGDX as a strategic opportunity to foster new collaborations that can strengthen the local gaming ecosystem. We hope to work with game developers, creators, and other industry players to keep innovating and delivering high-quality products and services that can compete globally," said Aris.
As part of IGDX, Nuon hosted the Nuon GameDEV Pitch Battle Arena, a competition for local game developers to showcase their ideas and present their work. After a rigorous selection process, three teams emerged as winners across various categories: the game Kickoff Land by CliffBite Game as the Jury’s Choice winner, Verde and the Echoing Water by Antimeta Studio as Best Pitch winner, and Garden of Wandering Souls by Arsanesia as Best Project winner. The awards were presented at the IGDX Awarding Night on Saturday, October 12. IGDX is an annual accelerator program organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in collaboration with Asosiasi Game Indonesia (AGI), aiming to enhance the capabilities of game developers in Indonesia. This event featured a variety of activities, including developer conferences, business matchmaking, and booth showcases highlighting games from both local and international developers.
"Nuon's participation in IGDX reflects our commitment to supporting the growth of the gaming industry in Indonesia. We are optimistic that this event will lead to innovations that are not only exciting but also globally competitive," Aris concluded.
