Langit Musik and RCTI Hold Indonesian Music Awards 2024

Jakarta, November 25, 2024 - Nuon Digital Indonesia ("Nuon"), through Langit Musik in partnership with RCTI, is hosting the prestigious music awards, the Indonesian Music Awards ("IMA") 2024. This year, 16 categories will see Indonesia's talented musicians compete. The IMA 2024 awards night will be broadcast live on November 25, 2024, from Studio RCTI+ at MNC Studios, West Jakarta.

CEO of Nuon, Aris Sudewo, expressed his enthusiasm for the IMA 2024 event, "The return of IMA this year is a testament to Langit Musik’s commitment to supporting and advancing the Indonesian music industry. This year, IMA 2024 introduces two new categories: Dangdut/Pop Lokal of the Year and Nada Sambung Pribadi Group/Duo of the Year, bringing the total number of categories to 16. Nominees were selected based on streaming data from Langit Musik, Langitku, and Nada Sambung Pribadi activations throughout 2023-2024, with careful judging by radio, digital media, and television figures to ensure the categories align with the latest music trends.

IMA 2024 will also present a Lifetime Achievement award to an Indonesian musician with over 20 years of contributions to the industry, honoring their influence on Indonesia’s music landscape and inspiring today’s musicians.

Aligning with Langit Musik’s tagline, "Musik Indonesia Juara", IMA 2024 celebrates talented musicians for their role in uplifting the national music industry. "We believe IMA 2024 is not just a celebration of the finest music but also a spark for musicians to keep creating," Aris concluded.

Langit Musik, Nuon's digital streaming platform, is committed to advancing the Indonesian music industry through various initiatives. In partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Langit Musik launched a Top 10 chart playlist on the weekly show ‘The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno’ to provide a platform for local artists. Langit Musik also supported Voice of Baceprot (VOB) at Glastonbury 2024 and exclusively launched Iwan Fals' latest album, "Tujuh Belas," underscoring its dedication to showcasing the best of Indonesian music to listeners.

IMA 2024 Voting Instructions

Music fans across Indonesia can support their favorite musicians through voting, which is open from October 25 to November 23, 2024, at 11:59 PM. Voting can be accessed through the Langit Musik app and Nada Sambung Pribadi 1212 activation.

• Voting in the Langit Musik app is available by subscribing to Langit Musik Premium for 30 days, giving 50 votes, or Langit Musik Midium, with 5 votes. Additional votes are available from Rp3,000 for 30 votes up to Rp20,000 for 300 votes. 
• After subscribing, users can select categories and favorite musicians, click "vote," and the vote will be counted. Users may also vote for multiple musicians across different categories.
• For the Nada Sambung Pribadi category, voting is done by activating Nada Sambung Pribadi 1212 for Telkomsel subscribers. Nada Sambung Pribadi voting results are updated within 24 hours.
